What is this?

About this site: LetMeParty.com is a free tool to let you post to your blog (or blogs) by sending SMS text messages to them. The way it works is that you register on the site and then add your blogs to your account or profile. You also add your phone number. Your phone number is how the site recognizes you. That way, only you, from your mobile phone number, can send SMS's to your blog. Unless your phone gets stolen...but you'll probably have bigger things to worry about in that situation!

You can add as many of your blogs as you want, one SMS will post to all of them!

We currently support LiveJournal, Wordpress, Blogger, and Xanga. If your blog doesn't work or isn't supported, contact me and we'll see what we can do!

About me: My name is Nemanja Stefanovic. I'm an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I started this site first off because I love all things mobile, technology and creating web applications in my favourite programming language: PHP!

I had this domain for a while because it is a cool name IMO; but couldn't think of much to do with it. I then started seeing how much my sister, my friends and myself like to SMS (text message) and how much time we spend on the web; particularly looking at blogs of our friends! So I thought, why not fuse these two things together?

I did it mainly for the challenge and to learn how to use the various blog API's out there (LiveJournal, XML-RPC, Blogger, Atom). I also hope that it might be something fun for people to use and interact with.
